Maples and Calder has introduced a new management structure to reflect the firm's growing global reach and increasingly complex cross-border business.

Henry Smith, based in the Cayman Islands office, has taken on the newly created role of Global Managing Partner. Cayman-based partner, David Brooks has been appointed Chairman of Maples Finance, the fiduciary and fund administration service provider, to help oversee global strategy.

In addition, a new Global Management Committee has been created to oversee the co-ordination of the Maples Group and to continue to develop its global strategy. The committee will include the following members: Henry Smith, David Brooks and the managing partners of Maples and Calder's Cayman, Hong Kong and Dublin offices.
